Hi, I’m Eric, head tinkerer, amateur sawdust maker, unrealistic idea man and dreamer. I have always had an interest in building and making things. In the last few years I have had the opportunity to work in the evenings at a custom cabinet shop while staying home during the day to care for my son (aka the shop apprentice). During this time I began building some projects out of scraps and other materials that were not fit for custom cabinet designs. Together with my wife Amy who is the fixer, organizer, realist, emotional supporter, financial consultant and task manager. (she is the reason anything gets finished) and our shop dog Sophie, we make up the 3rd Life team. We strive to make one of a kind items out of upcycled goods for you and your home.
